Hey, so I have a 15-20 minute phone interview for Citigroup for a Quant. Trading & Analysis Summer Analyst. Email text below:

"We found your resume impressive and would like the chance to get to know you better through a 15-20 minute phone interview. Jason and I have set aside time this Thursday (2/9) evening from 5:30-8PM EST.
Please let me know what time you would NOT be available so that we can put together our schedule. We will confirm your time shortly.
We look forward to speaking with you soon."

I am an undergrad Applied Math junior and have only taken some basic courses (on my own) in accounting and business finance. My resume acknowledges my lack of finance/programming skills.

What sort of questions can I expect? I highly doubt they'll ask me some real quant math questions or about prgramming, at least I hope not.

Thanks.

Well if it's for a quant job, I would be surprised if they didn't ask any technical questions at some point. But it sounds like this call is just a brief interview for you to talk about your background. And think of some questions to ask too.

Very good point Brad. AAI: rather than prepare responses think of conversation "starters". Ask about the group, what you will be expected to do, etc. The more you prepare and initiate the smarter and more confident you will appear.

Good luck!
