Hello, could you please evaluate my profile FOR 2026 MFE program
Programming Languages- C++,C#,python, Java ,SAS,R
GRE- 170Quant 163Verbal
I am applying to the following programmes:
1.CMU MCF
2. UChicago MFAN
3. Baruch MFE
4. Columbia MFE
5. GEROGIA TECH MCF
6. Fordham MQF
What are the chances of my application
Also, Should I pursue a diploma in statistics? What are your thoughts on this? I am taking big shots by applying to top colleges, and I want to make my application stand out. What additional coursework or projects should I add to enhance my profile and increase my chances of acceptance
Any help would be very appreciated, and if possible please also suggest some other US quant programs I can look for applying into.
- Undergraduate Degree:
- Completed undergrad in Retail Management with a CGPA of 8.6.
- Chose this course to balance academics with a national-level tennis career.
- Sports Career:
- National-level tennis player, aiming for a professional career.
- Injury in the second year of undergrad ended the pro-level tennis dream.
- Passion for Programming & Finance:
- Developed a passion for programming since childhood.
- Gained interest in financial markets and quantitative finance over time.
- Post-Undergraduate Education:
- Pursued a Master’s in Mathematics from a tier-3 college in India with a CGPA of 8.9 (roughly translates to a 3.65 on the US Scale).
- Diploma in DATA Science From IIT MADRAS
- Certifications: CFA LVL1 /FRM LVL1&2 , Quant Finance - From Indian Institute of Quant finance
- Projects Worked on- Monte Carlo Simulation for Option Pricing ,Crypto Asset Correlation and Volatility Analysis Trying to add more projects
