Hey all,
I'm currently an Undergraduate studying for a degree in Applied Math at a state school in the south, with a GPA below a 3.5. I'm fortunate to have been able to join a financial-math focused REU this summer before my senior year, and am looking forward to publishing the paper at the end of the summer. Last summer, I had a Private Equity internship. At this point in time I'm considering joining the service with the U.S Army, either with the Army Rangers, or in some other sub-branch of the Army. I would like to have a shorter contract, 3 years if possible in the service.

I recently became aware of service2school.com, a non-profit helping service members join a higher education institution, including graduate school. They seem to be successful with their applicants towards the schools we all aim for.

At this moment, I'm curious to know if anyone has familiarity with how universities view a person with my background when applying to a quantitative masters program.

thanks.
