Pre-MFE courses and programming certifications?

Hi all.
I'm planning to apply for MFE programs this winter.
What are pre-MFE courses and programming certifications that could strengthen my application?
I know 'C++ for Financial Engineering', but what other certifications could help me to get in?

One of the best certification is Certificate in Quantitative Finance by Paul Willmott. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it. It covers all topics. Like a mini MFE.

Do you think msfe at Berkeley considers you if you did not take the pre-modules, but did certificate through the cqf?
