I am currently a Second Year B.Tech Computer Engineering Student from Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology,Pune, Maharashtra,India.
I was looking what to do after Computer Engineering so I came to know about Mathematical Finance/Quantitative Finance. I am really convinced to do so. Some of my dream colleges are
1.NYU Courant
2.NYU Tandon
3.Georgia Tech
4.UIUC
5.NCSU to name a few
But they require Mathematical profile to be much stronger so I have thought of the following
1.Taking Financial Mathematics,Calculus for Economics, Multivariable Calculus, Mathematical Modelling (For ODE/PDE) and Probability-Statistics through NPTEL
2.Doing course in Data Science with R and create 2 financial Data Science projects
3.Doing AI course for Python
4.Doing a basic MATLAB course
Will try my best to bring above 325 in GRE and above 165 in Quant
Iinra will be taking an internship in our college which is compulsory in 6th semester.
I want to know if this is enough and online courses
In:-
1.Differential Calculus
2.Integral Calculus
3.Numerical Methods
4.Linear Algebra as I am not getting them anywhere especially 3rd and 4th like pure without computing
as we had only 1 chapter in it
Please help
