Hi good people of QuantNet.
I really havent seen any other CSE grad going for Msc QF on linkedin( thats where i searched to see if any one from similar background got any admit) So i am curious about applying for Msc QF role at WU Vienna. I need help from the community to understand the chances i have at WU vienna or should i just go for Msc in Australia ( Monash , Sydney IT). My fear is that I lack finance/economics background and i have no knowledge that are cse grads even considered for this course

Letter of recommendation : 2

I will add something in the comments if i miss something here but this summarizes my profle. Will need help assessing my application for WU QF 2024 sept and would appreciate any help regarding suggestion of course that do let computing/maths ( 4 semester) grads apply.

Thanks :)

CSE is computer science, right?

there are many comp sci people in the Quant world, this is much preferred to base finance/econ students. Your background is solid for this.

You should consider taking the C++ courses offered on this site since you have stated no exposure to C++.

Not much is known here about the programs you've mentioned, but I'm sure some other users could speak to them. We focus on the programs in the US.

Thanks a lot Mike for the reply , Is C++ predominantly used in QF domain instead of R?
