Hello, I am a quant working in an algo trading division of a sell-side, and am in early of mid-career (VP with no management with 4~6 years of experience).
I am planning to attend a part-time quant finance masters degree programme in the city from this autumn - a math heavy one.
I wonder if this can be a good choice in terms of my capability and career perspective in your perspective as well as things to consider I might have missed?

Personal motivation is, I need more solid knowledge on math finance aspectes such as pricing/risk - what's called as Q-quant aspects in online - and stat/optimisation/control.
My lack of financial math starts to be a hindrance on further growth as a rigorous quant - lack of delivering knowledged vision, narration, and planning of works.
Quant books are very hard to digest by myself, online courses are good but not enough, I believe a full-fledged degree programme will do.

I studied some little amount of physics and then did some ML, then luckily got into this industry.
Afterwards I have been just busy with catching up coding skills and basic level of jobs required knowledge in quick superficial manner.
Now things are being a bit manageable and then I found myself not intelligenct enough (yet) to meet my career ambition - becoming an impactful quant with high achievements.

Thanks in advance for your read.
