Hi everyone,
I'm currently applying for MS Quantitative Economics, Management and Finance (QEM) at the University of Vienna. I spent the last few weeks searching the internet for information about the program but I'd also like to hear what you experts think about it.

My background
I have a BS in Business Informatics from the University of Munich and have done lots of programming during my studies and during various internships. So I'm amongst others familiar with different programming languages, design patterns and common algorithms (e.g. for sorting and searching). However, I'm rather unacquainted with finance, capital markets, trading and so on... just some rudimentary knowledge.
Program structure
Considerung the curriculum: Do you think the program can prepare someone with my background for a job in algorithmic trading, high frequency trading or for quant jobs? Does the program cover all essential fields?
University of Vienna vs Vienna University of Economics and business (WU)
The reputation is not as important to me as the curriculum. I've also considered the Quantitative Finance program at WU. Unfortunately, their program starts in september and I would like to start in march. Now I'm wondering if it would be an disadvantage to go with the university of Vienna? I know, this sounds naive
Cheers!
