Hi all,

I’m a risk management professional in Hong Kong with about 4 YOE. I have a BSc in Risk Management and Business Intelligence (RMBI) from HKUST (GPA ~3.05/4.0). The program is known to be pretty challenging, so grades can be modest even for strong students. I’m currently completing the last FRM exam.

My technical skills include advanced Excel/VBA and R, Python, plus SQL and PowerQuery at an intermediate level.

I’m thinking of applying to NUS MFE or NTU MFE I’d prefer not to take GMAT or GRE so I can focus on finishing my FRM and work.

I’d really appreciate any honest thoughts on my odds of getting in.

Hey Jay,
I think you have a good shot at either NTU or NUS. They definitely will welcome a working professional.
I'm not sure if they will waive the GRE. I know many US MFE programs have that as optional.
Use the Tracker to add your timeline and see how other applicants compete as well.
Best of luck and let me know when you apply.
