Hi Guys,

The CFA Level I results are out and I have passed :) . Now the question is how do you send these the universities and ask them to include this also in the application review ? I have sent emails to the universities, but just wanted to know whether anyone knows better here :)

Thanks
Babinu

A lot of colleges don't want to deal with revisions to submitted applications. If you indicated that you were sitting for CFA on your resume or otherwise, it's been noted; they don't really need to know that you passed.

I agree with Andy, besides Passing CFA level 1 is not such a big deal..
I know how you feel..i was in the same position last year..was overjoyed at passing and sent a mail to all the adcoms...Cornell, CMU, UCB, etc.. They will add it to your file..but its really wont make a big diffrence..and its should't..
I passed level 2 but I am struggling with the MFE course work..all the math and programming can weigh you down...

So do something in C++, matlab, R, probability based calculus to impress them... :)

Thanks Lin and Andy, I know that CFA Level 1 may not have a big impact, but given my background (which is fairly technical), I believe this will show my knowledge of finance. I just wanted the universities to be updated about the same.

Thanks

Well this might be true for Canada as someone told me that CFA exam's are the national pastime in Canada but I dun think you can generalize this observation :)
