I got an email from Chicago MSFM asking why did I apply to their Stamford campus as it is apparently only open to employees of UBS.

This very annoying just because of the time and money I spent applying. I had no idea this was the case and I still can't find any information stating this anywhere on their website.

Did anybody else end up in this situation?

at least they sent you an email, other schools will just discard your application and you will never know LOL

You may not find that info on the program's website but a search on quantnet will have you covered

I know this, because I used to work for UBS :D They had a special program for UBS employees at Stamford. I think the tuition is covered by UBS too.

Looks like they have read the discussion and update the website accordingly ;)

At this time, admission to our Stamford campus is limited to those who are employed by Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), or those who are employed by institutional customers of UBS. Those who do not not fall into one of the two categories mentioned above are not eligible for admission to our Stamford campus.

I guess it would be a stretch to ask them to reimburse those who incorrectly applied to the Stamford office before the information was made available :)
