Hello All,

Currently I am working as fraud analyst where I spend all day doing statistical analysis of credit card fraud patterns. It's fun, but I am looking for more of a challenge. I enjoy statistics and do a lot of programming using minitab. I have a Masters of Financial Management where I studied venture capital management and valuation, game theory, managerial economics and strategic finance (options valuation using binomial models, Black Scholes as well as Monte Carlos using crystalball). I am thinking of doing the Masters of Quantitative Finance program at University of Technology, Sydney (yes I am from down under) or the Masters of Applied Statistics at Macquarie University. Now the Bio is finished:
1. I am 32 - is this too old to move into Quant finance?
2. Is the MQF better than studying applied statistics in regards to quant jobs?
3. with my current studies what roles should I apply for to get me good quant job in a year or two (is trader an option, I do have front office experience - six months five years ago in interest rate sales)?
4. do US banks hire Aussies?
