I'm currently exploring elective courses and came across the Project Lab (FINM 36000) offered at UChicago. From what I've gathered, the course is available every quarter, and students have the opportunity to apply to work on specific projects in collaboration with various firms like Bank of America, Belvedere Trading, CloudQuant, Mizuho Securities, and Neuberger Berman.

However, I'm curious about this as I heard this is a pipeline for how many grads to full time role.

Application Process: How does one apply to specific firm projects? Is there a selection or interview process?

Project Allocation: How are students matched with projects/firms? Is it based on interest, skill set, or another criterion?

How intensive are these projects?
