If you don't have enough capital to play your game, or if you have a bad execution, or bad hardware environment. Sell it if there's a buyer.

Some strategy is only doable with very deep pocket in my opinion.
 
I'm doubtful that you'll get the better end but if so go for it
Help me understand. My thinking is this if you're making money with your algorithm(s) and let's say 250 people on a marketplace want to lease one of them for $39/mo and you get to keep your rights to it, you wouldn't?

That's understanding from a local environment standpoint. So if the marketplace provides tools and resources to handle those issues better, it would be beneficial?
