There are a lot of companies that do trading, if they take you, you provide some initial capital contribution, trade a little and if they like you, they hire you...

scam ?
do people really learn how to trade through these companies ?
Will this help to get a job at a trading desk at a big company in the future ?

It's not a scam. It works really well for the company owners.

It works if you are one of the few that are profitable. You will learn since you are going to be doing it. You will learn too if you do it by yourself without paying anybody.

If you are successful, it will help but if you are successful, you probably don't want to join a big bank anyway.
