Hi,
I know the short answer is no and that there's not much overlapping between quant and actuary careers. However I could not find any entry level internships in a bank that is neither working with DCF nor preparing presentations and reports. The actuarial internship, though barely requiring any programming, at least deals more with math and stats, which are my major. So I have accepted the offer when I got one not so long ago, for all of the reasons above and the fact that it's gonna be my very first full time internship, and with a very reputable insurance firm.
I'm thinking of a risk analyst role in a bank as the next career move in preparation for my MFE application but are there any better ideas? I'm not from the US and cannot take any loans so my goal after graduating from college is to make money as fast as possible until it's enough to pay for grad school. Thanks.
