Would this degree get you to the M&A role? Do they publish employment status showing graduates getting into these roles? Is USC a target for these roles? If the answers are No to all, then you should not enroll.

Given the example you have first hand, it is obvious you already know the answer to it. If you have the qualifications, apply for a job. Apply only to programs that will provide the missing qualifications otherwise.

Princeton MFin received 1,064 applications for their Fall 2024. This is their all-time record and the first time they broke the 1,000 mark. Will be curious to see what the trend looks like this year. They have a very short admission window compared to other programs.

My understanding is that anyone, living anywhere can apply to the Pre-MFE courses since it's online. It's not a college-credit course so the F-1 visa is not applicable.

The ORFE dept at Columbia is strong. I'm not familiar with the career services for undergraduates there but there have been many recent complaints from their MFE students which is a more well-known program there. I strongly advise you to do proper research on the career services for BS there...
