I’m a senior in math and economics at a university in the Midwest. I am planning to apply for a few MFE programs. I know Baruch has 4 deadlines, I was curious if there’s any advantage in applying early or all applications are considered equally?

If your application is ready by first deadline, you should do it. Many programs have a cohort size and scholarship amount set which goes to many first rounders. If you apply to later rounds, you are at the mercy of remaining spots.
Baruch has not set class size so it does not matter when you apply.
If you are an international student, apply as soon as you can to avoid delay in securing visa. This applies to all programs.

Hi Andy!

I am curious do you know what programs have scholarships and by how much do they range. I do have a solid experience working in trading and analytics at major asset management firms. I’ve taken multiple graduate courses in probability, statistics, stochastic processes and numerical methods. I am also soon to present my honors thesis on pricing options using stochastic volatility estimation techniques.
