Hello,

I have a BSc in mechanical engineering and a MSc in geophysics, and am looking to a career in quant finance. I will be applying to the ivy MFE schools once I strengthen my resume a little more (2014/2015 Fall entries maybe?). And let me stretch this a bit, maybe someday break into Wall Street? (until I roll-off my bed and wake up).

As of now I have one of the two options it seems:

1-year contract as a C++ software engineer working with finite element software for design analysis of mechanical parts/machinery, etc (@ Caterpillar)

Financial Advising Trainee (@ Morgan Stanley)

As of now I would love to go into HFT, but I would also consider risk or portfolio management type of roles. I have no work experience whatsoever and am looking for the best start possible.

I would appreciate any comments or feed back. Thank you=]
