Anyone else snag an HP touchpad for ~$100?

I ordered two - one for me and one for a gift for $130 apiece... I was late to the party but better late than never! Anyone do better? Any ideas when the Pre 3 discount will hit? I'd be happy with a $75 unlocked smartphone...

Also, according to my estimates, HP loses at least $200 per touchpad liquidated. R.I.P. HP?

I haven't heard anything besides an order confirmation from HP. Not looking good.

I got my order confirmation from Bestbuy 4 days ago but still "in progress" and not yet shipped.

Why is it trash? Which one do you have?
You want to have either android or apple OS. The apps are the best part of all these gadgets and the android and apple app stores are solid. I have an android tablet. The reviews for the HP tablet are bad too and one of the main reasons the line has been discontinued. If you just want a tablet for minimal purposes it's doable. Many do like webOS including members here.

There's reports of an android port for it. ;)

... not to mention Ubuntu linux...

The hardware inside it is solid. I still haven't received word either way of whether I will be getting the two I ordered :-/

they are on ebay for $200. I think that is a great price for the tablet. I mean, i would buy it even though i have one for 100$.

wait, you bought one and then called it trash? :p

Most ebay items I've seen end at $275-300

One man's trash is another's garbage.

Here's the basic idea: Joy is of course correct - it's HP so it's trash. Don't believe me? Read every review on the web. Even CNETs annual laptop manufacturer ratings places HP last every single year.

HOWEVER - if I had seen the $100 I would have bought 20 and immediately listed them on ebay. Lyosha's right. They are selling for $300 a piece.

If I called the business a hedge fund I would be famous with those 300% returns overnight :)

No not on anymore. As I said if it was I would have bought it out

My order from Amazon/Onsale has been cancelled.

Same here =[

I wouldn't call the tablet trash though, especially at this price point. I have a WebOS phone and man the OS is good. But the hardware is crap, kind of like the Touchpad. Really baffled by how HP handled their acquisition.

I have that "my order is about to be cancelled isn't it..." feeling as well... :-/
