I have an upcoming discussion with Prof. Stefanica about my application, I was wondering what to expect. The FAQ thread says this is not an interview but a "chat". Should I expect to chat about technical subjects? Should I review coursework I am rusty in? Or is this simply a behavioral experience to text my marketability, work ethic, reasons for pursuing this program, etc...?

If others have had this experience, any and all advice is welcome?

P.S. What is appropriate attire, I am assuming this is not business formal (i.e. suit)?

I wore suit to my interview with him. I know it's not required but first impression is important. I saw many wore suit in their interviews as well.
Review all materials, calculus, linear algebra, Hull book. I suspect the interview would be a mix of technical and behavior questions. In person interview is different than phone interview.
If you can somehow drive the topic into sport or the Yankees team, it would be great.
Getting the interview is great but not automatic admit. I heard people didn't get admitted after abad interview.
Lastly, a firm handshake is a must.

Nothing is off the table at the interview. As for attire, people make different choices, and what is appropriate for one person may not be for another.

Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday.
