Hardest problem ever.

I was admitted to both programs as a part time student. My ultimate career goal is quant asset management. Cost is a big factor for me. Any advice on which program is a better fit for me will be really appreciated.

Yeah, I do. I guess the real question is whether CMU is worth 80k.

Nope, not if you got admitted to Baruch. It would be a different story if the only other program admitting you was Dogdick University in Swampwater, Missouri.

i have the same concern here too, what is your final decision? Lin

if you can get into carnegie mellon there's no way you choose baruch over cmu. Even if I didn't believe cmu offers the better career opportunities, I'd still say apply anyway. Better to have choices. Also I don't think anyone in Asia has ever heard of Baruch..

So your career goal is to press a button that decides whether to execute market or limit order and how to split that order to decide that lowest cost/respectively highest profit? you couldn't go wrong with Baruch or cmu if you want to do that

I hope that you have made the decision to apply for the MSCF program. For more information about the MSCF program, visit our website where you can contact a current student Contact a Current MSCF Student | Carnegie Mellon University. We also have an Information Session Webinar on January 20 from 12:30-1:30pm EST MSCF Information Session Webinar where you can ask any questions that you might have to current students, faculty and staff. I hope this helps!
