I got MS CE and MS Eng Mgt(Finance) with 10 yrs C++/Perl/TCL development experience. I would like to make a 90 degree career turn in finance, but I know I will have to take two 45 degree turns 1) stepping into C++ job at NYC. 2) Pursue MFe at Baruch and/or CFA/FRM. Make this happen over next 2-4 yrs and then start analyst job. I would like to see myself getting into technical side of risk management jobs. Is my two step approach the right approach ? It is big step for me because I would be leaving my stable job at large MNC. After a decade, stability and stagnancy appear synonyms, no matter how hard one tries to keep learning. I believe that I have still 25 yrs of career left in me and I am willing to take risk unless there is something out that tells me that there is abyss. I do want to add that I am a US Citizen and have no issues to take financial loan for Baruch hoping that I can get in there..
