I am looking forward to do MS in CS from USA (fall 2015 aspirant), currently I am working as Software Engineer for a Mumbai based IT company. After graduating with Aeronautical Engineering (AE) degree I was working for one of the professors of IITB on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling where I learned practical application of calculus to derive equations which further had to be implemented using linear algebra through C++ along with MATLAB; to be honest it was dam confusing at times and the only thing I enjoyed the most was the coding part. I continued to work as coder and have worked on technologies like DirectX, VoIP, socket programming so far from last more than 2 years. As I am planning to do MS I chose CS over FE since I really don't want to limit my chances of getting job after graduation, but at the same time I am curious about whole Quant thing and really want to give it a try. I might complete my MS with specialization in Algorithm or AI, so I would like to know whether I can try for Quant job based my coding expertise, I still enjoy math but not as much as logical coding, so do I have to be very good in math and average in coding in order to get into QD or my coding expertise alone would be sufficient enough to get me into any investment firm in USA as QD ?
