Would it be useful to take a course that teaches algebra, coding theory and cryptography?
Also, would it be better to take a course on stochastic processes or time series/forecasting or both?
Error-correcting codes, ideas of compression, transmission, and entropy. Development of the work of Shannon, Hamming, and Huffman. Comes in handy in part of "data science."
