How is your experience in the program so far?
The program is doing exceedingly well for the last couple of years. In terms of academics we have industry professionals coming to teach the current hot topics in Finance like TCA, Price Impact and ML to name a few. We have a new team for career development which is doing great work.
I highly recommend this program for students who want to learn serious Financial mathematics. You are allowed to cross register if you want to take more CS and Optimization courses in the Engineering school depending on your career choice. The program has a strong alumni base , especially in New York that is extremely helpful when you want to build your network and you get the chance to interact with them through multiple meetups that are organized throughout your time in the program and not just in your first term.

We are in the process of starting a bootcamp for Mathematics and Programming for the incoming cohort. This will be the extra prep you would need to convert the job interviews early on in the hiring cycle. The focus will be solely on interview preparation so that you are not stressed by interview prep when the official semester starts in early September. The program structure will be different from the bootcamps offered by other schools because along with a foundational course, we are planning to offer career based training. For example, someone with a strong research inclination will be trained to crack quant research interviews at top firms while a developer profile will be trained on harder algorithms concept for hackerrank type assessments. Also you will be given a curated list of courses we recommend depending on your career choice. The list will be a extensive list of courses from across different schools in Columbia University. This will make sure you will have a strong resume with the specific skills you need to ace your internship and finally do well in your full time role.

Hope this helps prospective applicants !
and Congratulations to those who made it .. Welcome to MAFN :)

Any ideas on the fees for the program? The website is not clear. That would be helpful in my decision to apply for the program.
