Hello QuantNet community,
I am excited to make my first post as Director of Columbia University's Mathematics of Finance (MAFN) program.
The application portal (via Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Science) is already open accepting applications for Fall 2026.
This year’s admissions cycle includes several key updates we’d like to highlight:
Earlier Deadline for Undergraduate Seniors
Undergraduate seniors are strongly encouraged to apply by the Early Admission Deadline: January 15, 2026.
Tailored Statement of Academic Purpose
While most applicants aim for careers in the financial industry, we welcome diverse goals—including PhD study, entrepreneurship, and more. Clearly articulate your personal objective and the steps you've taken toward it.
Job-Search-Ready Resume Required
The finance recruitment cycle continues to accelerate. We expect applicants to submit a polished, professional resume ready for immediate job search upon admission.
Format Requirements
Both the Statement of Academic Purpose and Resume should be one page each.
For full details, visit the MAFN Admissions Page.
Looking forward to seeing your applications.
