ETL and Data Gather automation

I have transferred from back office to the front office (different company) and immediately noticed the lack of tools avalaible at my disposal.

I am looking for:

1) A robust job scheduler similar to Autosys but much less pricier
2) Visual Programming tools similar to Ab-Initio and UC4 or SSIS(I found this one useless) that can easily transform routine implementation into quick scripts

I have found Visual Cron for scheduler/ETL tool, but it is missing considerable features that were available to me before.

Any suggestions?
