I am a postgraduate student and need a guidance to solve my project works. My project work entails the analysis of gene expression data.
For Example, i have selected the 15 experiments, in which the genes are expressed in disease conditions. I collected the genes, which are present in all 15 experiments. According to basic knowledge, i can conclude that the gene, which is present in all 15 groups is more significant than the gene, which is present only in 3 experiments. In connection with this, is there any statistical parameter to analyze the gene with reference to the number of occurrences.

In this case, I think you should add some experiments without disease conditions also.
