One thing to definitely mention in the personal statement is that the material genuinely interests you and that you want to enroll in the program to satisfy your intellectual thirst, not just because it will make you a lot of money.
This thread is full of great advice, if I could just add to it:
Its probably a good idea to talk about whats motivating you to pursue this career path (money and loving finance is too generic), and what you think you can do with a top tier MFE degree that can help you achieve these goals.
