For those of you who attended the Mitsui lunchtime forum yesterday at Baruch (I can't find a link to the flier -- it seems to have fallen into some kind of purgatory; neither listed as a past nor present event), this article in today's FT might be interesting:

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/9c61309e-a680-11dd-95be-000077b07658.html?nclick_check=1

That talk was given by the CEO of ICE, Jeffery Sprecher. A large part of it centered on their CDS clearinghouse ambitions.

FYI, the next talk is by Hank Greenberg of AIG fame: http://zicklin.baruch.cuny.edu/cent...um-u-s-china-relations-a-business-perspective

ICE is an amazing story. There's even the additional drama of ICE and NYMEX sharing the same building. NYMEX has threatened to toss out ICE on more than one occasion.

I *really* wish I had been aware of this talk, I would have loved to be there.

FYI the talk by Hank Greenberg is tomorrow, Tuesday -- see the link below.

EDIT: Never mind, it says it's been canceled. Too bad, I was looking forward to it.
