I am currently a Finance major at the University of Central Florida and still in my sophomore year. I am liking what Financial Engineering has to offer and I was wondering what I need in order to pursue this career and if there is still time. I don't have any experience coding or anything like that, and the maximum amount I have done is take Calculus I and II. I know I still need to do other things such as statistics and other types of math. Would it be a good idea to pursue a double major in Mathematics? Engineering? Get a minor in one of these? Please give me some suggestions, I would appreciate it.
