Without programming experience I was thinking about taking C++ from UCB's Extension. I wonder if the top universities (Princeton, Columbia, Cornell) would find the completion of these programming courses sufficient?

If not, where can I go to take an online course in C/C++ that they will find legit? It's hard to find universities where C++ coursesa are available to the public in CT.

@Mur Is it really good ? I only heard many people recommend the UCB one. I mean, if it is really good, that would be fantastic, since it's free.

This requires another C course are prerequisite?

There are just many courses with similar names. I find a lot of these extension courses are just impossible to ensure quality of the students.
Maybe I can do something to change this.

@cesc: I liked the course, but again it depends on your background, for me it was more of a refresher course as I have been programming in VBA and did alot of C/C++/Java in college couple of yrs back.

Will the course you offer be complete before the Fall 2012 applications are due?
