one company proposes to join me either FX hedging team and work on application which manages positions or FX algo trading team and work on algos and executions. from your perspective what is better and challanging? I have some feelings about heding that it is not that complicated, but I don't know too much about it - if you may recommend a good book about FX hedging, it will be appreciated.

Depends where your interest lie. The work on FX hedging could eventually lead you to a corporate finance hedging job with multinationals. Cross-currency swaps, FX NDFs, would be some of the products you will be dealing with. The FX algo trading gig would probably be dealing mostly with spot transactions and trade executions.

Thanks, John. They propose me to work as Software Engineer on one of this projects and I think what may be beneficial for me to grow as FX Algo Trading Software Engineer. For hedging, they don't use derivatives (Swaps, NDFs, etc.) it is all on spot, just a separate application which at run time covers trader's positions. Also hedging application trades as a robot, while algo trading engine used by trades, but inside it does some algos to manage orders.
