Licenses and memberships required to do HFT on my own

Hi,
I am considering going solo. My plan will be to trade futures. I am a US resident.

My question is: What kind of licenses and memberships do I need to have a HFT business? Do I need to become a FINRA member? Do I need a broker-dealer license? Anything else? Any idea how much those things cost? I have never registered a company before.

Thank you so much

If you are trading with your own funds and not taking client orders I don't believe you need a FINRA membership or a Series 7/63. However, there may be licenses required for HFT that I'm not aware of.
