I'm currently an undergraduate student. In the future, I want to work in finance and am thinking about getting a degree from an MFE program or a Master's degree in finance (MFin). I have browsed several sites regarding these programs and a lot of them say that they want students with a quantitative background.
My questions: are there major requirements for these MFE/MFin programs? That is, do I have to be a math/econ/stats major back in college? Would they look at if you have taken specific classes before they consider your candidacy? For example, do these programs require that I've taken probability, real analysis, etc.?
