Hey guys

Can anyone tell me the upside and downside of a career in either side?

I have a superday invitation from a BB for their risk department. They do seperate recruiting for credit and market. I talked to both the department heads and they are both amazing although the Market risk head has been around for 35 years. The Credit side is more retail finance type of deal and I will potentially get to talk to clients and so on whereas the market side has a strong focus on the trading side.

Just curious what people thought of each especially those that work in the groups at BB's.

The cool thing about the Market risk is that a world famous risk researcher works in the department.

The credit risk is more Investment banking type and the market risk is S&T.

Any suggestions?

Which did you end up picking (if you received an offer)? Which area are you currently working in?
