Hey folks!

I'm planning to apply to CMU, Princeton, Baruch, MIT and Berkeley (might add more) for the fall 2026 intake. I graduated in Engineering from a top Indian Institute with an 8.5/10 GPA (unsure what it translates to on the 4 point scale) and am currently working as a strat at a trading desk for one of the top 3 BB banks. I am also considering completing the C++ and Options Primer courses before Baruch's 3rd admissions round.

Could someone please do a profile review and provide feedback on how strong my candidacy is?

Thanks.

Add more schools. While you have a strong profile, your profile is almost identical to the vast number of MFE candidates from India. So, while you are extremely likely to get an admit from a top program, you may not necessarily get an admit from a specific top program.

Also, that resume needs work. Why is it two pages? Use the template here: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/for...nking-resume-template-official-wso-cv-example

Any other advice for me to strengthen my profile?
I’d recommend start working on essays and SoPs. They are, imo, the most important aspects of your applications.

Additionally, think about and articulate your career goals post graduation. This also contributes heavily to your chances to get an admit. If your career goals do not align with the program’s expected outcomes, than can result in a rejection even if your profile is strong. Conversely, if your career goals, while being aligned with the program’s expected outcomes, aren’t aligned with your existing skillset and background, than can also result in a rejection since there’s only so much the program can do to make you a more compelling candidate. Think about these carefully.
