Hi everyone,
I am a bachelor student in finance in a European country, and I have a deep interest in algo trading. For this reason, I would love to apply for the MFE program at Baruch College to study this field and conduct research.
However, given the nature of my degree, I have to admit that my mathematical background is not as strong as that of, say, an engineering graduate. Nevertheless I'm really determined to catch up and study math to improve my knowledge, and I noticed on the MFE admission website that they offer online courses in calculus and linear algebra.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether taking these courses would help me to reach the necessary level to apply for the master's program and give me more chances to be admitted. Regarding programming, I already have experience in Python, and I plan to take a C++ course.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
