Hello to one and all,
I just got an offer from Bayes Business School for MSc. Mathematical Trading & Finance and I really like and relate to their course offerings.
I would just like to get an overall view of quant aspirants regarding the course and the university.
Open to all feedback, reviews and conversations.
Thanks

Hi Prachin,
Are you joining the class of Sep 2023?
I am applying as well. If I get an offer from Bayes, we could be classmates. :)

I've done a lot of research into the UK market and Bayes churn out a good number of quants. That course is certainly specialised for trading and the University has great links to industry. Search 'Cass' then 'Quantitative analyst/trader/researcher' and look at the long list. Personally, I'm disappointed that they removed C++ electives in the past year. They focus mainly on Python, then Matlab and VBA in some electives I believe. This isn't bad because it gives you access to more specialist modules. You can always do Duffy's course in the summer.

Hi Damola, thanks for sharing your valuable input.
I have also extensively looked into their alumni network on LinkedIn by searching different roles and universities that they ended up being at and I must say it looks very promising, from the entry level trading positions to prestigious PhD’s.
Another thing i was keen on was learning c++.I believe the quant net c++ for financial engineering course will be the right option then.
I have a slight concern regarding the importance of advanced stochastic modelling in finance which is not offered in my course but in MSc. Financial mathematics.Since I have seen a lot of importance is put on the jump diffusion and other advanced modelling in the academia community on LinkedIn.
Does it significantly increase the chances of employability and climbing the corporate ladder per se?

Hi guys!
I am also very interested in this program. I noticed that there are 3 courses on Mathematical finance /quantitative finance in Bayes. Do you know how is the admission bar for each of them? Would you please share your background? I plan to apply. Thanks a lot.
