MSCF Application first or second round ????????????

Hi, I am not sure whether to apply to the MSCF at the first round or at the second. I don't want to apply at the first one because I don't have yet an internship for next summer, while I believe I could get a valuable one by the time for the second round.

What would you do in my shoes?
