Hello All,

As the world grapples with the challenges of sustainability and resilience, the nexus of environmental considerations and financial disciplines becomes ever more pertinent. The rapidly changing landscape demands professionals equipped with cross-disciplinary knowledge in environmental (ESG) and financial sectors.

FIU proudly announces the launch of our Environmental Finance and Risk Management (EFRM) Graduate Certificate Program. This five-course, 15-credit program is pioneering the integration of environmental systems and the global financial ecosystem.

What can you expect from the EFRM program?
  1. Holistic Training: Dive deep into the interactions between the global financial system and environmental systems, from businesses to governments, and NGOs.
  2. Diverse Applications: Learn how finance promotes resilience against natural disasters, climate change, ESG accountability, reduction in emissions, and the push for renewable energy.
  3. Cross-Disciplinary Approach: Gain insights from financial derivatives to risk assessment in varied environmental science disciplines like meteorology and ecology.
A glance at the EFRM Curriculum:
  • Quantitative Environmental Finance (Core)
  • Advanced Environmental Data Analysis for Environmental Finance (Advanced)
  • Capstone Case Study on Environmental Finance
For detailed insights into each course and more, we've attached a comprehensive document for your convenience. You can also visit our EFRM webpage.
