Guys, I have an interting articles for you.

"Worst things to say at work". This article is not only for those people who will have an internship this summer.

Quote:
When it comes to the workplace, however, you might not realize there are plenty of things you can say to damage your work relationships or even your own career. An off-the-cuff remark that you think went unnoticed, for example, might be the first thing your boss remembers when he thinks about you.

Thanks, very useful :tiphat:.

But "I just didn't have enough time for that." ;)

True story: PhD from an Ivy school has an on campus meeting with some people at one of the top banks. the PhD thinks this is an informal conversation, makes several stupid statements (says advisor is taking credit for their work, bashes colleagues, etc.).

The bank folks know the advisor and the PhDs colleagues, and are not happy with some one who bashes people with whom they work.

No job offer.

MORAL: everyone knows everyone on Wall Street. Never burn bridges.
