I have recently decided that I am going to apply for MFE and other masters programs in the mathematical finance field.
I am currently majoring in both Finance and Actuarial Science, with a CS minor.
I was curious as to if I would need a PhD if I wanted to work on data research teams or portfolio research teams at Hedge Funds or Asset Management Firms or if the MFE and other degrees would suffice.
However, if a PhD would be needed or strongly reccommended, what sort of PhD programs would best suit an individual looking to go into financial analytics and data research for HF and AM?
