I’m contemplating enrolling in the following PHD program in System Science and Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis:

http://ese.wustl.edu/graduateprograms/Pages/PhDinSystemsScienceandMathematics-1.aspx

QUESTION:
How relevant do you think the curriculum in the System Science and Mathematics would be to financial engineering?

MY BACKGROUND:
- BS & MS Mechanical Engineering and MBA & MS Corporate Finance (Yes, I love learning)
- 9 years work experience at a Major Aerospace company (3 Years Random Vibration Analysis, 3 years Engineering Rotation Program, 3 years Project Management in a Chief Engineer's Office)
- Since my MS Engineering from the same school would count, I would only have 42 credits remaining for the PHD. My company would fund the PHD, but they have a 2 year retention policy after completing each class.
- Let me know if you would like to know anything else about my background.
