I am doing a 5 year MBA tech course and I've nearly completed my 3rd year.
I plan on doing an MFE in 2020.

The following are my pros and cons

Pros
-knowledge of C++
-2 month internship experience in python as software developer
-'A' grade in maths and stats
-pursuing a machine learning course in python
-will be taught finance in the next two years

Con
-GPA 2.7/4 (I have given a lot of my time list two years to an international non-profit organisation of students called Enactus of which I'm presently a Vice President. And I find mugging things up the most difficult)

I have good 2 years left in the college to improve my GPA, but it only gets harder from here.
I have to do a five month internship next year. I plan on pursuing quantitative analyst or quant. I'm confident that with the right training, I'll shows 165+ in GRE.Q, maybe even more.

I need to know

1) if I should do a course to land the right internship this year and prepare for GRE in my final year?
2) If I should do research and write a research paper by my final year and shift my focus from the internship.
3) if I should leave everything and focus on my GPA?

Maths is something I've always loved and I believe MFE suits my interests well. Hence I have to get into a good University!
