Ha? Really? How can this be? What's the process going to be about? can you estimate any?I mean maybe they're just doing it for people who they're not sure about, you know?

What I'd like to ask is that, the ones, who didn't get the first round interview but received the alumni interview, have a better position than the ones who got the first round but didn't get the alumni one?Well I said maybe... I guess we can't know anything because this is the first year they're doing it and we won't know how it worked until decisions come out
Didn't you say :"I was just told that not everyone who got a first round interview was also extended an alumni interview."I dont think that anyone got an alumni one without a first one?
Oh well, I just got it wrong. sorry. Then.. well, does it mean that.. those who're not invited are NOT offered in the end? Ah...........yeah, i.e. a subset of first-round interviewers received a second alumni one
Thank you so much. I was just so desperate and needed a comfort to calm me down.Hang in there, Cynthia. No sense getting all worked up over it. No one outside of the adcom knows what the alumnus interview is for, and even then, it's out of your control. So, no sense getting too stressed out over it. You and I are in the same situation. I also had an interview with no alumnus interview invite. Who knows, maybe it's for borderline cases, or experimental for real use next time.
No worries! Something that has helped me get past the anxiety is to look at the websites, curricula, and placement statistics of the other programs I've applied to, and realize that there are other top programs out there that will take me to the same places I'm trying to go. Princeton is a fantastic program, but so are many of the others in the top 10.Thank you so much. I was just so desperate and needed a comfort to calm me down.
Strong mentality. you deserve a top program. No worries! Considering. What other programs are you waiting?for those who got in - will you all be attending or are you waiting to hear from other places?
