Hey, I have attached my resume for the profile evaluation. I have graduated with a CS degree. I will be making a lot of changes to this and adding 3 core projects that I will be adding on to my github and talking about for my application. I want genuine advice on the following things:

1. Profile evaluation for the US universities especially NYU MFE, CMU MSCF, UW CFRM, RUTGERS MQF and NCSU FM. Please give brutal and honest opinions and please tell me the ways to improve and actions to take for US universities especially.
2. The quantity, quality and topics for the projects that will make me a good candidate
3. I am thinking about doing a research paper but I am not sure whether I will be able to complete it in time to showcase it to the admissions committee.
4. What extra steps in terms of projects or anything else I should take immediately starting today.

I am also taking credit based courses for my maths pre-requisites even though i applied and i know all of the concepts. The reason is that my degree did not officially teach separate subjects for mathematics since this course was designed by an MNC in collaboration.

Use the resume template here -> Investment Banking Resume Template. The centre aligned headings look very weird. Also, I'd remove the GRE scores. They add no value and have no reason to be on your resume. Remove all the bold text. I

Apart from that, looks good. Your program selection looks safe enough. Maybe add a few more programs in the top 10. If you have a restriction on the number of programs you want to apply to, I'd suggest swapping out CMU for Columbia/Cornell/UChicago(/MIT?). CMU is very low probability given your profile imo. The major deciding factor for admits is going to be your SoP, Essays, and LoRs. These programs are looking for candidates they can place in a job immediately. You should be able to establish concrete career goals which align with your existing skillset and with the programs' expected outcomes and be able to communicate that effectively through all these supplemental materials. This is going to be the make or break.

Best of luck!

I would second @arohan about having a good understanding of the career goal, how your profile and the program will be a good fit.
Programs have many applicants and they need to find someone who have realistic expectation.
Thank you for your response. I will surely be very specific in my career goals short term and for long term. Apart from that do you have you any suggestions regarding the specific points that I have mentioned. It would be really helpful.
