Hi,
I want to start a new project on writing automated software for the FX market, primarily on Euro, Pound and Australian Dollar vs US Dollar. Can anybody lead me to the best indicators and/or calculation methods for these securities. I would be willing to share all my work in a group endeavor.
Thanks.

Please elaborate a bit more on what you're trying to achieve? Or at least point out the trading style you're more comfortable with.

i am so very pleased that you have asked this question, cuz my current project is all about all of all that..

first, let me say that i do not understand all of that high level college math, it all looks like chinese to me, lol..

my work is primarily handled by code that i wrote using borland's turboC for dos and it runs under dos 6.x

my custom indicator provides trade levels for fifteen currencies, said values can fluctuate from -100 thru +100 and will only exceed that range by a couple of points.

ie, buy at -100, sell at +100, close position at zero.

current indicator output:

EURAUD 66
NZDCHF 47
EURGBP 38
EURCHF 36
GBPAUD 29
NZDCAD 26
CADCHF 22
EURCAD 14
GBPCHF -2
EURNZD -11
GBPCAD -23
AUDCHF -30
GBPNZD -49
AUDCAD -52
AUDNZD -78
my current trades:

gbpnzd was opened at -98 and is currently at -49
nzdcad was opened at +82 and is currently at +26

note that the audnzd is currently at -78 which indicates that we should be getting ready to enter a long position...

if my work is valid, my trading system will never take a loss.

if my work is valid, i will have effectively fully cornered the world's currency markets.

it has taken me nine long years of solid and hard coding labor to accomplish this.

pray for me.

i am so tired.

to attempt to address your questions, again, here goes...

the best indicators for forex? there is no such thing, cuz none of them work reliably, period.

and, if you are willing to share your new indicator, forgive my french, but you are foolish...

as soon as you share your indicator with even one person from a public arena such as this one, it is only a matter of time before they are reselling it on ebay for 49.00$$ and then your work will be diluted to the point that it will be useless, assuming that it was worth two cents to begin with anyways, lol..

ps.. that audnzd is gonna be a great buy opportunity, but dont hit it hard yet.

in closing, i just want to assure you that almost no person is profitable in the fx business, just a heads up.

the fx is an extremely difficult beast to tame nowadays.

happy coding,

peter pan/.
