Few questions if anyone can help me for how a small quant team actually operates:
-For say med / low freq equity groups that trade minutes/hours/days, when their book / aum is turned over in a day, what is typical (understanding it can vary a lot) on how many trades / # of positions / per position size?

-When teams first launch say inside a multi-strat, do they just code from scratch the strategies in any language and internal systems can just fully integrate? What do teams that launch ask for here from the big funds / how long does it take to launch?

-What does the team actually do everyday if the strategies are already in place? How much maintenance is there really everyday vs. working on new strategies? How long does it take to code up new strategies?

Sorry for all the newbie questions so thanks ahead of time!
